HAVE A GREAT DAY

  1. Middle school girls basketball try outs will be Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 19-20TH from 3-3:50. Students must be ready in the gym at 3 dressed in appropriate basketball clothing (shorts of athletic pants, t-shirt, sneakers). Make sure you get your forms into the nurse ASAP, and if you haven’t told Mrs. Hotz that you are trying out yet do that ASAP!
  2. Phoenix Astronomy Club meets after school this Friday the 14th from 3:00 to 5:19.  Sundown is early, and we should be able to catch Mars setting next to the sliver of Moon and spectacular Jupiter between Taurus and the Pleiades.  If the skies are clear, we will attempt to find Uranus and Neptune and the bright red gamma Cygni nebula.  Join us in room 130B, but be there by 3:00!  Space Nerds are also encouraged to look for the Space Station with flybys brighter than the Moon for the rest of this week.  See Ms. Jackson or a member of the astronomy club for instructions.
  3. MIDDLE SCHOOL ONLY please return your sports forms to the Nurse’s office signed and dated ASAP or you will not be able to try-out if you are not cleared.
  4. Candy Cane CANDY GRAMS!! Will be for sale, Monday, high school lunch and all intensive week lunch periods. They will be given out Thursday or Friday during crew. Send a surprise to your BFF or special someone, anonymously or with credit and make their holidays jolly. See, Julia Cary, Kiaraliz Colon or Natalie Perez with questions.
  5. 7/11 AND 8/12 mentoring programs:  Due to intensives, MENTORING IS CANCELLED next week (12/20, 12/21).

We are pumped about starting back up in January. Have a nice break!  Mr. Soycher and Mr. Storey
