HAVE A GREAT DAY
******FRIDAY, 9/27 is a Renaissance swag dress down day. Students may dress down as long as they are wearing at least one item of Renaissance clothing or gear. There is no charge for a Renaissance swag dress down day.
- October 8th will be picture retake day.
- JA (junior achievement) high school hero’s sign up room 149 EKMALIAN, meeting times will be posted outside room 149 EKMALIAN.
- BSEP -(Baystate educational partnership) students interested in anything that has to do with the medical field, please sign up outside room 149 EKMALIAN.
- Students interested in being on the Prom Committee, please see EKMALIAN in room 149.
- Any sophomores interested in running for class officer, please see Mrs. Hotz in room 126.
- Wednesdays after school from 2:30- 3:30 is a meeting of all coffee house prospects in the library. That means you! Are you interested in spoken word, or reciting a short poem? Do you play an instrument? Or do you want to perform a skit with a friend? A monologue? Bring your talent! Get your act together for the opening night at the Coffee House!
- Renaissance Readers Book Club will meet on Wednesdays after school in Room 130B starting Weds. Oct 2nd.

Renaissance will be hosting a Coffee House/Open Mic night in the Black Box Theatre on Thursday, October 24th at 6:00. Please consider taking an opportunity to share your talents with a friendly and enthusiastic audience. See Ms. Camara, Mrs. Sullivan or Ms. Pfeifer with questions.

Students will live in campus houses, experience the academic and social life at Smith and attend panels and workshops on student life and the college admission process.

Both Gateway College at STCC and Early College High School (HCC) are currently recruiting students for fall and spring semester.
These programs are for capable students who are academically independent and self-reliant. Students complete their high curriculum early and begin college level work in a supportive environment.
Program representatives are going to be coming to the school these week. If you are interested, sign up in Guidance and Counseling by end of day Thursday.

The Women of Distinction program for high school seniors highlights the opportunities at Smith College for African American, Asian American, Latina and Native American students. Participants in this three-day program will explore Smith College and determine whether it might be an appropriate college choice for them. Students will live in campus houses, experience the academic and social life at Smith and attend panels and workshops on student life and the college admission process.
